From New Age to Christianity: Why so Many are Making the Shift

We are witnessing a massive shift of people jumping from New Age spirituality into Christianity what seems to be overnight. From one side of the pendulum to the complete opposite side. I find this shift very fascinating because I, too, was one of these people back in 2020 who began to denounce the New Age as I slid on my new identity of born-again Christian.

This shift is happening for a reason, though. It is not by mistake that so many are entering this new space. In fact, for many people, this shift is a necessary step along their soul evolution. So what the heck is going on?

The following article is based off of personal experience, observation, and belief—

The new age distortion

The New Age is a hub for dress-up and role play. Many people think that talking about awareness and consciousness is equivalent to embodying it. Where “doing the work” looks like unconsciously indulging in the ego and pain body. Where using divination tools without boundaries or discernment is perceived as holy. Where spiritual bypassing is at an all time high. It’s a place where healing becomes a trap and wounds remain open only to never actually heal. It is where mind-expanding philosophies are only understood at surface level. It is a place to seek attention and validation. It is a place to conceitedly put oneself at the center. It is a place to attach and identify with as an attempt to fill the void in one’s heart. Oftentimes, it is ego absorption disguised as spiritual evolution.

Many become so entranced with the ideologies of New Age that they find themselves overly activated within the upper energy centers and disengaged with the lower centers— consumed with the idea of ascension without having a grounded foundation in the body. Along the path of remembering their spiritual nature, they forget that they are still human, too.

This disharmony, lack of discernment, and inability to truly spiritually evolve, (not just talk about it) creates leaks in the person’s energy field, which can be a feeding ground for parasitic (or dem0nic) energies. In many cases, the obsession to ascend may cause spiritual psychosis, too.

But now we see a tsunami of people jumping from new age to Christianity. Through the peeling of layers, many begin seeing the deception in the New Age. Many still feel lost, confused, and depleted. Many scare themselves when they discover the dark forces that occupy the space as well as the world. Perhaps they become aware of Satan which leads them in pursuit of God. They become aware of the healing traps, the limitations, and the distorted beliefs. They wish to spiritually evolve, to grow, to find the truth. Perhaps they don’t feel safe in their own body, so they seek for refuge elsewhere. They may begin to sense something that is greater than them, that there is more to be remembered.

The shift to Christ

The path of Christ is a path of humbleness, accountability, and ego deaths. It is a path of total self-deconstruction, remembrance, and transformation. To walk the path of Christ is to literally be born again.

Many who start feeling the pull of Christ end up denouncing the New Age, which oftentimes leads them to theology, specifically Christianity. This makes sense, because to be a Christian is to be a follower of Christ. But in the church lies just as much distortion, if not more, than the New Age, too. What people refer to as Christ as the man who died for our sins, God in the flesh—the Lord and Savior. Here, many of the once new agers turned born again Christians begin seeking Christ externally and outsourcing their power, when in actuality, the true Christ is an inside job.

Many (though not all) who rapidly jump ship from New Age and rush aboard to Christianity experience not only a dismantling to all previous belief systems, but a demonization of them and anyone who still practices, too. They pick up new attachments, put on a new identity like a mask, only to continue to unconsciously fill the void within them. They are validated in their experiences and they may continue to unconsciously dismiss their own shadow because they’ve now been “saved.” They do not question what they are being told to believe in and lack discernment between claiming truth Vs holding belief. Thus, they may uphold a “holier than thou” attitude all the while feeding the ego.

This rapid shift in ideologies not only upholds limitations on themself, but also God. Through placing God within a box framed around the Church’s interpretations and declaration of who God is, one’s perception becomes more rigid and black and white.

Do many people find God’s love within religious framework? Of course, for the essence of God is in every and all things.

But Yeshua never wanted to be put on a pedestal.

What the Church calls Christ as the external force is an internal force within each of us.

While fragments of the truth can be found along the pendulum, the whole truth cannot be accessed here. Rather, the whole truth is to be found on the fixed point that upholds the swinging pendulum.

The truth, The Godhead, the Creator of the Universe, is far beyond the human mind’s conceptualization and comprehension.

And the truth does not need defending because it upholds itself in all its glory, just as it is, beyond the box that man has placed it in.
